Often times new clients will reach out to me via my website contact page or message me on my Facebook page. I have to say, it particularly excites me when people call me. I was on my way to pick up my kids from school when Kerri called and I almost didn’t answer. I spoke with her very briefly and we agreed to talk later in the evening. I was happy to hear Kerri found me through the Doctor’s office I am so lucky to display my work at. It makes me happy when clients find me this way because I know they have seen and appreciate my work…it means a lot to me. It means so much to me that I have been allowed to display my work in an office (I love bringing them treats when I come to fill up my business cards). Anyway, I was delighted to talk to Kerri and to hear that she and her husband were expecting their first child, a girl! After speaking with her, I knew exactly where we should take her maternity pictures.
Immediately upon meeting Kerri and Kyle, I felt so comfortable with them. Super sweet couple, which makes the session so much fun. Aside from it being the most windy day of the year (a hurricane as Kerri called it lol)…it was a beautiful day.
After the session, I raced home to look at and start editing the images. I was ecstatic. However, a few of my favorite images appeared to be out of focus (must have been the wind lol). I decided to ask Kerri if they were available to meet me the next day to redo a few images that were adorable, but not quite up to my standards. Luckily they were available and in addition to re-shooting those images we were able to re-shoot a few that had some overly wind blown hair lol.
Overall, this was such a great session and I’m so lucky I got to meet Kerri and Kyle. I look forward to meeting their baby girl and seeing them again soon!
